The annual Edinburgh Art Festival began to move in a new direction in 2023 motivated by EAF director, Kim McAleese’s question: “What could a festival look like that is rooted here [Edinburgh] and connects to people in the city and is also balanced with a critical and nuanced global dialogue?”
